Welcome,
Founded by Dr Konstantin Tringas, we are a Boutique Law Firm based in Melbourne, specialising in affordable private law matters.
Kon Tringas is a fluent German-speaking lawyer with extensive experience in international legal transactions. Apart from this the practice focuses on Victorian Law and Australian Federal Law in the areas of Conveyancing and Property Law, Family Law, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probates, the Administration of Deceased Estates and Civil Law and Litigation. These are the areas of law we can assist you with if you require legal advice and representation.
The practice aims to provide a professional legal service to its clients, whilst charging reasonable fees.
Kon Tringas has more than 25 years experience in the legal profession, including several years at the Victorian Bar as a Barrister. He had a long-standing involvement with Community Legal Centres both as a Principal Solicitor and a Volunteer Lawyer. He has operated his current practice as a Sole Practitioner since 2005.
Kon Tringas is fluent in both written and spoken German. He was born and spent the first 15 years of his life growing up and being educated in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. Since coming to Australia, he has continued his interest in German society and culture by studying German philosophy, literature and history as part of his university studies. He has returned to Germany several times for extensive visits since migrating to Australia.
In most cases Kon Tringas will represent you personally if you have to go to Court. His objective is always to achieve the best possible outcome for the client. It sometimes becomes necessary to brief a Barrister with specialised knowledge and experience in a particular area of law and/or court and he will discuss this with you before engaging a member of Counsel to represent you.
Kon Tringas graduated with a Bachelor of Economics with Honours and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University. He was also awarded a Master of Arts by the University of Melbourne and a Doctor of Philosophy by the University of Divinity. He was admitted to practice as a Barrister & Solicitor by the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1997 and is registered as a Legal Practitioner with the High Court of Australia, entitling him to practice in both Victorian and Federal Courts.
